August is the eight month of the year. The number eight is the symbol for infinity. Another way to consider this symbol is that work, purpose, life, and art are all tied together, in the larger order and flow in the Universe. Instead of trying to separate your personal and professional lives, let’s take a look at how they relate to each other. What would it look like if you integrated your “gift”, values, talents, skills, interests, life style choice together? What would it look like if all four levels of your life were in alignment?

Now is the time to look inside and get to know who you are, define what your personal vision and mission statement and ideal life are. Instead just daydreaming about what you want your life to be, you can identify and claim what you want in your life, and create the life you’ve always wanted.

I invite you to get a tablet of paper, find a quiet place to sit and relax, and start some “free-form” writing about what you vision, mission and ideal life is? Writing your thoughts, feeling and dreams on paper, sends a message to the Universe of what you want in your life. What thoughts are you thinking? What beliefs are you holding? Are there any “limiting beliefs” that you are thinking that you need to release?

As a Relationship Transition Coach, I help my clients identify what really matters to them. To take a look inside and ask, “What really matters to me?” Just as my coaching clients take a look at themselves to discover who they are and what matters to them, the good news is that is it never too late to look inside and define who you are, your vision of how you see your life, your mission statement.

What do you still want to accomplish this year? What behaviors or patterns have you noticed? What behavior or pattern are you setting an intention to change by the end of the year?

Are you “playing it safe” and living life just like you did last year? If you knew you only had six months to live, what would you want to experience and accomplish, so that you felt you lived your life to the fullest?

Are you feeling in balance? If you answered “no”, what steps are you taking to get back in balance?
